Public Records Requests

The NOLA Public Schools Records Request Portal is a user-friendly information portal that provides the public with easier and improved access to public records. The system offers greater transparency of public documents in that the public can review requests and records that have been released to the public in one place.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby direct each public body that has a custodian of public records to make the identity and contact information of its custodian available to the public in a manner that will allow a member of the public to quickly determine the appropriate person to whom a public records request should be submitted, including by placing such information on the Internet. In compliance with HCR 129 of the 2013 Regular Legislative Session, the Custodian of Public Records for the Orleans Parish School Board is as follows:

Dr. Avis Williams

Superintendent of Schools

c/o Sharon Hunter

Administrative Records Coordinator
2401 Westbend Parkway
New Orleans, LA 70114

Notification: Information submitted to the Orleans Parish School Board or NOLA Public Schools may become public record and subject to public disclosure pursuant to the provisions of the Louisiana Public Records Law.
