Louisiana state law requires local education agencies, such as Orleans Parish School Board; to establish a comprehensive Pupil Progression Plan.  The plan is used to establish minimum of standards based on student performance on the Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) and other academic standards.  The plan also addresses student placement, promotion, and parent notification of student achievement in Kindergarten through Grade 12.  The plan includes adjustments from year to year and is applicable to all schools for which OPSB serves as a Local Educational Agency (LEA).

Parental involvement is important to the development of the plan.  The Orleans Parish Local Education Agency would like to present the 2020-2021 Pupil Progression Plan Draft to parents and community stakeholders for review.

A draft copy will be available for community review online:

  • Orleans Parish School Board- Board Room, 2401 Westbend Parkway, New Orleans, LA 70114
  • All NOLA Public Schools’ Family Resource Centers
  • NOLA Public Schools’ Website

To ensure opportunity for broad-based input, Community Comment Forms will be available online and at each location.
