Our school

As part of our continued commitment to in-person learning, we are reporting health data to demonstrate the impact of COVID-19 in our school community every week to keep our students, parents, teachers and staff informed.

We will update this information every Monday by 4 p.m. throughout the pandemic. The data reported will represent the previous weeks’ COVID-19 cases as reported to the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).

If you are looking for information on COVID cases across the District, see our COVID Tracker for the 2021-2022 school year. The tracker was restarted on Aug. 9, 2021.

The NOLA PS COVID-19 Case Tracker provides the number of positive cases of COVID-19 as reported to the LDH for each school site from the previous week.

NOLA-PS is ahead of the curve with coronavirus testing, compared to many school districts across the country. The District has partnered with LDH to provide weekly surveillance testing to all students and school staff. As a result of this testing, we also provide a weekly update through our tracker of the number of COVID-19 tests completed in the previous week and the corresponding positive test rate.

It is important to note that the information here includes positive cases reported by any student or staff member, regardless of where they contracted COVID-19.
