NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. and Principal Kelly S. Batiste will welcome Fannie C. Williams students in grades PreK – 8th to campus as the school reopens, following Hurricane Ida.


THIS IS A DISTRICT SANCTIONED MEDIA AVAILABILITY TO CAPTURE CONTENT OF THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AT AN ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL. THIS IS THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO GATHER THIS CONTENT. FACE COVERINGS MUST BE WORN AND THERE WILL BE DESIGNATED AREAS FOR MEDIA TO STAND.

WHY:

NOLA-PS is looking forward to welcoming students, as schools reopen following Hurricane Ida. In order to help ensure the health and safety of our school community, as well as preserve in-person learning, NOLA-PS will require students wear masks and follow the school system's COVID-19 guidelines. In addition, the District is encouraging families to have their students tested for COVID-19 regardless of vaccination status, before schools reopen and get vaccinated, if eligible. All these measures will help protect the health and safety of our students, teachers, and staff.
